The Exabyte 8505 and 8505XL are SCSI-based 8mm tape drives which can be mounted into 5.25-inch half-high enclosures. Assuming an average 2:1 compression ratio, the 8505 can store 10 gigabytes on a 112m tape and the 8505XL can store 14 gigabytes on a 160m XL tape. These tape drives are also available in a tabletop model.
